Introduction

After my brother Don
convinced me I could learn how to get on and operate a computer, I came
home from his house in Texas and bought me one with all those cows on
the box a Gateway I believe it was. Anyway when I finally got hooked up
with the Internet the brains I had helping me walked out the door
leaving me alone with the monster and a number to call - my "personal
support group."
The man who answered could not
speak good English. (I think it was because he did not like
English-speaking people.) He was trying to carry me high and deep into
the computer world when basically all I wanted to know was if I was on
the Internet.
It took me eight months to get
on because something was wrong with my unit. (I guess one of those cows
on the box had kicked it.) The man from my personal support group was
getting farther and farther into his native tongue. Finally in order to
bring closure to our session I asked him for his name. He wanted to
know why it was necessary to have that information. I said, after
bringing my voice down off the roof, "Sir so that I will never have to
speak to you or hear your voice again."
He responded "In that case I
will be glad to give you my name." His English got much better as he
seemed to really want me to get it.
So thanks for viewing my web
sight. I invite you to click onto the other links (or I suppose in the
business they are also called sub pages.)
